Tenfore Road Arrow on Formula Student Symposium

Members of Tenfore Road Arrow team from Belgrade, have attended Formula Student Symposium, that was held at the end of November, in Győr, Hungary. 160 students, members of 12 Formula Student teams worldwide, have been listening to 14 lecturers talking about interesting  facts considering vehicle design process. During two days of Symposium that consisted out of lectures and workshops, members of our team have had a chance to collect advice from some of Formula 1 top engineers and employees of worlds best automobile companies.

Students have been listening to lectures on the topics of design and testing of aggregates, aerodynamics,  reliance and ways of designing drive for the electric vehicle. Some of the lecturers who held these classes during three days of the symposium were alumni members of Formula Student teams all around the Europe, or engineers of Audi and Formula 1, but also judges from the Formula Student competitions.

Team members of Tenfore Road Arrow have had a chance to confirm and upgrade their knowledge in the field of aerodynamics and composite, and these lectures were a magnificent opportunity for new members of the team, who are just about to step into the world of Formula. Among other activities, they had a chance to see the ways in which composites are tested in Formula 1 workshop, and to realize that these methods are not much different from those we use in our workshop.

Apart from the lectures, program of the symposium considered also interactive workshops, where students could personally ask for advice about the production of composite parts, testing of electronics, design of the reliance system, and to hear first hand, how does it look like to work in a company that specializes in production of engines that are used in auto races.

Experiences from this symposium gave us a chance to get to know the methods of work in other teams and to keep the cooperation between us, but also to learn about the work of the worlds best engineers in different areas of auto industry, such as Luca Marmorini, Norbert Gatzka, Pat Clarke, Sandor Kling and many others.
