fsra 2017

Lower center of gravity, traction control system, adjustability for every circuit, better stability in the corners… ”Road Arrow 2017” easily won over our drivers. After all, the designing was conducted in accordance with best ergonomics and vehicle control on the track. Having that in mind, data readings were separated between steering wheel and control table, that enabled a better overview during driving. Chassis construction was optimized and for the first time there were LVDT sensors on the suspension system.

More parts were produced out of carbon fibers, that showed great performance in the last season. For the first time we’ve had parts the students themselves made with 3D printer. In order to improve aerodynamics of the vehicle, an additional row of flaps along with bigger flap struts were added to the structure of the front wing. Adding another row of flaps resulted in more aggressive front wing, and made it more effective. Combined with the rear wing and the rest of the aero package, results were seen in a much better aero balance. This was best felt by drivers who rated the racing with this formula as the best ever.
